  • Lead of 3D Modelling/Co-Founder, 3Dreamaker, August 2013 – June 2016

During the time as Head of 3D modelling I’ve been leading a team of multiple of modellers. Splitting everyday tasks and ensuring the quality and style of the final produced models are up to the standard required by a client. On top of managerial everyday tasks I’ve been producing models from 3D scans, photogrammetry, reference images and basic sketches, to be 3D printing friendly. As an extra it is required from me that I walk my clients through the whole 3D printing pipeline so they can understand the basis to proceed further and print the 3d objects that would be supplied by the company and team of modelers.

aggressorsCreation of texture tiles for a game called Aggressors-Game. The textures created had to be very limited (256-1000 pixels per character) but at the same time capture enough detail of in game Units to be recognisable.

  • Junior Nuke Compositor, ClothCat Animation, April 2016 – June 2016AAEAAQAAAAAAAAJjAAAAJDZiZDQ0ZjkyLThjZjQtNGEwMC04YjRiLWU3NmVhZjU2Y2ZkMA

As a Junior Nuke Compositor I had a privilege of working on my first credited animation feature to be released in December 2016 on BBC. While working on Ethel & Ernest based off a book by Raymond Briggs I was taking care of Nuke script set ups and preparing them for following weeks for higher ranked compositors.

Creation of weapon replicas from blockbuster films for 3D printing. Responsibilities cover modelling from scratch and fixing models.

Creation of 3D models and textures ready for 3D Printing using most up to date affordable 3D printers. Creating objects for “Support Free” printing. Large scale objects as well as miniatures. Starting on specific weapon creation and ending on rubber band powered designs.

  • Texture Artist/Work Experience, Bait Studio, June 2015 – July 2015

Two weeks of work experience in Cardiff Bay allowed me to get a huge insight of how a real production environment looks like. Meet some incredible artists who allowed me to learn even-uWhtk8Q
outside of an office. I’ve been working along with a lead texture artist on assets for an upcoming feature animation called Ethel & Ernest based off a book by Raymond Briggs. Taking care of UV unwrapping in Modo and Texturing with use of Mari.

I was in charge of creation different spare parts for 3D Printing. The parts would be delivered and I would need to measure them and recreate to the highest possible accuracy on a computer. Sometimes parts were supplied as only reference images or just an illustration.

  • 3D Modeller, 3Dimenz.com, June 2014 – March 20153Dimenz- Logo

Creation of 3D models and textures ready for 3D Printing using the client’s 3D Printers. Sometimes I would receive 3D Scans which would require simple cleanup and sometimes it would be a
creation completely from scratch.

Creation of texture tiles for a game called Aggressors-Game. The textures created had to be very limited (256-1000 pixels per character) but at the same time capture enough detail of in game Units to be recognisable.

  • CG Artist/R&D, Selfnation, July 2013 – October 2013

I was responsible for creation, research and development and pipeline design on a project that was developed to be an interactive possibility to view jeans online. I was responsible for creation of jeans model in multiple of sizes and ensuring they would fit correctly to the real world measurements (small, medium, large, xlarge). In order to do that I had to create multiple of blendshapes and ensure the texture would be animated to adjust for the stretching while running a python script. I was working with a coder who was developing the script along side so when a user inputs their size, it would adjust itself to fit their measurements in realtime.

Responsibilities covered creation of different jewellery items like rings or necklaces created to fit clients
specifications. Rings were created in all sizes from A to Z+4. They had to be 3d printing friendly to be printed on SLA printers that shapeways.com provides in their offer.

Personal Interests:

Except of the usual things which people are interested in like going to a cinema or playing games, I have some unusual interests like for e.g. keeping up with the 3D printing and scanning technology. Photogrammetry and human scanning techniques like “medusa capture system” from Disney research.

I’m also into mentoring and teaching that’s why I’m hoping to get into that at some point in the far future so I will be able to pass all of that great knowledge that I would gain over the years in the industry to the new generation of Artists and TDs.

Lastly I love reading and watching about astronomy, recent research on black holes really interests me. Possibility of space travel like in the movie Interstellar I believe will happen at some point in the far future.
